The Seventh Generation Foundation helps fund non-profit organizations that work to bring about positive change and sustainable solutions – with a priority on eliminating chemicals of concern from the marketplace that threaten the health of pregnant women and children.

Sustainability Grants

Our Sustainability Grant program supports U.S.-based organizations working to bring about positive change and sustainable solutions by helping us achieve the aspirations we have as a business, with our priority being enhancing health of homes and schools. We are focused specifically on eliminating chemicals of concern from the marketplace that threaten the health of pregnant women, young children and workers.

Nap Mat Exchange Program

Put Toxic Nap Mats to Bed! Our recently-developed Nap Mat Exchange Program provides Childcare Centers in Vermont with the opportunity to swap out unhealthy, low quality nap mats with non toxic, premium alternatives. This initiative will help future generations thrive by making a positive and lasting difference in children’s lives by supporting healthy learning environments. We are committed to removing all toxic nap mats from Childcare Centers in the state of Vermont by 2025. Until then, we won’t rest.

“Seventh Generation’s commitment to safer products and a cleaner world has helped to make Vermont a leader in chemical reform work. They have been incredible partners in every sense of the word. Their technical expertise, strategic engagement and financial support have been essential ingredients to our success in protecting children and families from potentially dangerous toxins in products and our environment. That’s probably why the Governor chose Seventh Generation as the best place in all of Vermont to sign into law legislation that will protect our most vulnerable residents from chemical threats.”
